Creative Director / Producer: Nic Dampier

Objective: Capture the heart and breadth of HTI’s operations, culture, and leadership to support internal alignment, talent attraction, and external brand positioning through a suite of high-quality video assets.
Project Overview
Hinton Transportation Investments is a Grand Rapids-based organization with a growing portfolio of transportation and logistics companies. In 2023, I partnered with HTI to concept, direct, and produce a comprehensive video content package designed to spotlight their story, showcase their people, and build a library of reusable assets to support recruiting, onboarding, sales, and leadership communications.
The engagement included a full on-site production schedule across multiple facilities, capturing b-roll of operations, employee interactions, leadership interviews, and customer service highlights. The result was a library of branded, high-impact videos ranging from concise social-friendly cuts to a 15-minute deep-dive culture and leadership documentary.

Creative Strategy
Immersion-Based Filmmaking:
I spent multiple days embedded in the company’s operations to capture candid, human moments—not just staged visuals. This allowed for authenticity and natural storytelling.People-First Framing:
Leadership and frontline workers were all filmed with equal dignity and presence—reflecting the company’s values of respect, trust, and collaboration.Cinematic Meets Practical:
Lighting, composition, and movement were used to elevate scenes while staying grounded in real-world environments—warehouses, shipping bays, offices, and customer floors.Modular Content Design:
Each deliverable was edited with cross-channel use in mind: internal meetings, career pages, social media, onboarding platforms, and trade shows.

Why It Matters
HTI knew who they were—but needed help showing it. This project allowed their team’s values, hard work, and leadership vision to shine through professionally produced storytelling. It wasn’t just about logistics—it was about people, pride, and purpose. By equipping HTI with a tailored suite of videos and reusable footage, we didn’t just capture a moment—we gave them the means to communicate their identity for years to come.
